Summary of Key Responsibilities:Support Clinical Operations from a financial point-of-view with accurate analyses, effective reporting, and financial processes such as budgeting and forecasting
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Developing departmental budgets according to specifications along with appropriate variances analyses
Analyzing variances to standard
Analyzing historical trends
Developing forecasting models
Preparing the Monthly Operating Report for executive management
Interpreting contract language and building associated financial models
Completing financial analyses that accurately reflect business health
Designing reports that communicate performance, identify issues, and contribute to better management decisions
Developing profitability analyses for business segments, studies, sponsors, lines of business, etc.
Monitoring performance to metrics andexplaining variances
Supporting site operations through financial reporting and analyses
Analyzing staffing requirements based on activity drivers, monitoring trends, tracking variances, and developing projections
Participating inprocess improvement initiatives inside the department as well as cross-functionally
Extracting appropriate data from supporting systems and preparing ad hoc analyses and reports

During your employment with Sarah Cannon you will be routinely assigned training requirements. You are expected to complete any training assignments by the due date.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year of experience in finance, preferably within clinical research.
Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts
Knowledge ofbusiness models related to health care research
Knowledge of performance metrics for medical research
Knowledge of statistical principles, calculations, and applications
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Self-directed showing individual initiative with strong work ethic
Collaborative toward group problem solving
Able to present effectively and convincingly
Naturally curious regarding cause and effect
Able to analyze data and draw inferences from them
Competent user of software applications in extracting and analyzing data
A clear and effective communicator, orally and in writing
