Position Summary:

We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic, agile full-stack software engineer to be part of the team that is transforming Identity and Access Management in our mission of improving the lives of patients. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write effective, scalable, reusable, performant, and testable code, and clear documentation.

  • Perform code reviews to ensure code quality.

  • Work collaboratively with team members including offshore and share knowledge. 

  • Participate in architecture, design, and planning sessions.

  • Develop design patterns and generalize code to address common use cases. Most importantly, build reusable and expandable components.

  • Help ensure applications maintain seamless performance and adherence to KPIs and SLAs.

  • Frequently evaluate IAM technologies and services and stay current on the latest technologies and trends.

  • Implement data security and data protection within PHI (Protected Health Information) environment.

  • Stay abreast of modern technologies and practices, innovate, and collaborate.

  • Will be responsible for following the standards of McKesson for Identity Access Management, and related environments.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to lower level engineers.

Current Stack:

  • New Greenfield Deployment 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.

  • 4-year degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent experience.

Critical Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in API development (Java, Python, Go, etc.). 

  • Knowledge of Microservice architecture and best practices.

  • Deep knowledge of OAuth workflows and Service ID management. 

  • Knowledge of database experience and SQL 

  • Knowledge of Queueing technology (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).

  • Experience with RESTful API development including JSON structures, endpoint negotiation.

  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).

  • Deep cloud platform architecture and services experience (Azure preferred). 

  • Knowledge of industry CI/CD methodologies, Agile and unit testing.  Familiarity with AI developer tools (Copilot) a plus.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$139,000 - $231,600
