Performs skilled maintenance of assigned facilities and equipment by performing repairs to building structure, painting, repairing floors, walls, etc., as well as repairing or maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in maintaining facility management system (FMS) data base
• Communicates pertinent information to supervisory personnel regarding safety hazards, damages, repairs, etc.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order; makes minor adjustments and repairs as necessary.
• Notifies appropriate person(s) when service or parts are needed for tool or equipment.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly; follows prescribed safety regulations; uses safety equipment as required.
• May drive company vehicle, if applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirement:

• Typically requires 1+ years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications and skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor under stressful conditions.
• Valid driver's license, if applicable.
• Good verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical and HVAC.
• Basic knowledge of materials, methods and tools used in construction trades.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as fork lifts, man lift, jack hammer, etc.
• Must have demonstrated ability to get along with others and to follow instructions carefully.
