Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr Manager,  FPA, Mckesson Specialty Health, the Sr Financial analyst, is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis (P&L and Balance Sheet), supporting the development of budgets and forecasts, engaged in operational performance reporting and involved in financial month-end close activities.    In addition, this position will be expected to streamline and optimize financial data consolidation, validation and reporting process as well as take on process improvement project support roles.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

Other responsibilities generally associated with Sr. Financial Analyst  positions are described in Section B. The duties and responsibilities of the above-mentioned position include, without being limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and analyzes the financial statements and other key reports for pre-close and budget.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Produce the financial statements and detailed ad-hoc financial reports (Monthly and quarterly schedules.
  • Responsible to produce and explain departmental expenses.
  • Monitor variances or expenditures against forecast and budget, identify budget overspend, highlight issues, and impacts.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual budgets and recurring forecasts in close collaboration with budget and process owners, including coordination of divisional input and consolidation of results.
  • Improve processes and drive efficiency.
  • Liaison with head office to ensure that all transactions are captured properly in our SAP system.
  • Responsible for ad hoc financial reports.

Section B – General Responsibilities

  • Communicate with internal and external business partners to resolve pending issues and facilitate a positive working relationship, optimize current processes and reduce defects.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the assigned process and other duties as assigned by Management
  • Provide ad hoc support during internal and external audit reviews.
  • Lead, coach and guide the business users to achieve desired business results.
  • Develop individual development plans for team members to close any competency gaps

Section C – Position Requirements

  • Bachelor degree of Commerce with a major in Finance or Accounting. Must have a CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA designation
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a financial planning & analysis role Extensive knowledge of SAP or other major ERP
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting methods and tools  
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills; ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Experience with financial data consolidation and modeling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, Word, PowerPoint with a proficiency in Excel
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power BI is an asset.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team-based collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be determined and flexible with a positive outlook
  • Demonstrates ownership of assigned responsibilities with a confident, independent and determined attitude.
  • Strict, disciplined approach to work which includes outstanding process awareness and respect for procedures at all times

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$74,100 - $123,500
