Job Purpose:
The highly competitive US generic pharmaceutical sector continues to challenge every element of the supply chain. In this constantly changing environment, patients can be served through multiple channels in new & different ways, whilst those that dispense prescriptions, the wholesale distributors that supply them and manufacturers all have to react and respond to how the sector is evolving, which is also heavily influenced by payers, regulatory bodies and federal & state law. To succeed in this environment requires organisations to adapt and change and, at ClarusONE, we play a key role in working alongside multiple stakeholders to deliver the most efficient supply chain model whilst generating value for our Members, their customers and patients through innovative sourcing solutions.
The Strategic Insight Analyst is a key role in the development, and integration of data analytics and strategic insights necessary for supporting the longer-term vision, strategies, objectives, and goals of the business. This role has the responsibility to drive key data analytics capabilities of ClarusONE, which underpin business decision making and enable the integration of analytics capability within ClarusONE’s technology solutions.
This role requires strong communication skills with proven ability to analyse, interpret, and report data along with strong negotiation and relationship building skills. In addition, this role will actively partner with relevant ClarusONE business functions to align and support execution of strategic insight initiatives, transformational data requirements, and data science led project execution.

Champion the use of data analytics, strategic insights and data science to support longer term sourcing strategies and explore innovative transformational business opportunities.
Lead in the development of analytical products that compile, analyse, model and report on data using multiple technologies; gather requirements and modelling criteria leveraging agile
methodology.
Work with the product delivery and programme management team to scope, develop and
embed (advanced) analytics and strategic insight capability within the technology platform.
Support the creation and ongoing management of data and analytics solutions which support the reduction in supply risk linked to regulation, manufacturing constraints, market dynamics and supplier financial stability.
Support the development and ongoing ownership of supplier and product segmentation's to
support strategic decision making.
Support the development of ‘next best action’ analytics solutions, to empower a greater
Work proactively and cross functionally across the business to develop initiatives that deliver
value to ClarusONE members using advanced analytics and insight.
Present and defend complex ideas and recommendation to various level in the organization.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners and internal clients.
Use supporting data to address key questions and concerns; partner with internal clients to
identify and measure opportunities for relationship with ClarusONE.
Serve as a subject matter expert on strategic analytics insights and convey technical results
effectively to a variety of audiences, including those with a non-technical background.
Ability lead work across the development lifecycle from prototyping to resolving data issues.
Be an advocate and champion of the ClarusONE data and information assets
Requirements:
Education/Experience
• Bachelors degree (Masters or PhD preferable) in Mathematics or a heavily quantitative field.
• 5 years’ experience in an analytics or data centric function.
• Experience in the healthcare field, preferably in generic pharmaceuticals (sales, purchasing or
distribution) preferred, though not required.
Knowledge/Skills
• Demonstrated consistent creative problem-solving capabilities
• Organisational and project management skills are critical using a consultative approach.
• Time management, including ability to organise and prioritise work to consistently meet critical and/or conflicting daily deadlines while ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
• Extreme attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proven ability to research, analyse and problem solve.
• Advanced data analysis skills (SQL and Python preferred) and visualisation skills (Tableau
and ThoughtSpot preferred), with experience of cloud-based data solutions such as Snowflake
R, Python or another core data science language is preferable
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, flexible and adaptive to changes in the business.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external business partners and to influence a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Experience in applied analytics for business problem solving: analytics solution for pricing, loyalty program effectiveness, customer segmentation, customer LTV maximization, cost and profit analysis, CRM management etc.
• Knowledge of retail pharmaceutical products and program offerings a plus.
• Knowledge of retail / pharmaceutical supply chain risk and / or experience of developing analytics risk models would be an advantage
