CoverMyMeds’ Pharmacy Solutions team is looking for a Lead Product Manager to lead the development and commercialization of data-driven products. This role requires a blend of business acumen, technical expertise, legal and compliance understanding, along with creative thinking to transform data into valuable solutions that meet market needs. Specialized industry experience in pharmacy claims data commercialization, intelligence to help shape product vision, strategy, and direction are key features of the role. Together with our various business units, the work this team does ultimately helps people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives.
What You'll Do
As a Lead Product Manager your daily to-dos will shift with business needs, but here is a snapshot of what to expect:
Conducts varying P&L responsibilities, including collaborating with finance and cross-functional teams to align on budget planning, development of pricing models, providing guardrails on pricing, deal and negotiation support, managing financials, and revenue forecasting. Leads engagement with Commercial and Operations teams to develop and execute the product strategy for data commercialization, develop go-to-market strategy, identify value proposition, drive alignment with business and enterprise objectives and market trends, understanding of product evolution, and properly position data products in the marketplace
Collaborates with engineering, data science, commercial, marketing, and operations, makes recommendations to assess product needs, and successfully bring products from concept to launch, driving for significant impact. Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to develop user stories, use cases, and product requirements that clearly communicate functionality and benefits.
Influences cross-functional teams by shaping product direction aligned with business needs, leveraging innovative thinking, strategic leadership, and creative problem-solving.
Leverages expert industry knowledge and experience and applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts to create customer co-innovation opportunities and drive creative solutions to complex problems.
Drives Enterprise-wide coordination to identify and resolve conflicts in data commercialization initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, prioritization, and cohesive execution, and makes recommendations to leadership.
Ensures product features and direction are legal and compliant by collaborating with the legal, compliance, and privacy teams to triage issues that may occur and ensure commercialization of data is within contractual terms,
Recognized expert and lead contributor in Product Management and data commercialization. Serves as organization spokesperson on specialized projects, programs, conferences, and/or produces white papers
Skills You will Need
o MBA preferred in Data Commercialization, Marketing, Business, or healthcare related field, or equivalent experience. Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
o Product Management experience or familiarity with technical product development methodologies (e.g., Agile)
o Experience managing product P&L
o Understanding of NCPDP Telecom Standard
o Experience with analyzing data to identify opportunities for optimization and growth
Preferred Skills
o Project Management skills including managing project timelines to completion
o Understanding of various industry constituents representing data aggregators, biopharma, and life science companies
o Demonstrate ability to develop strategy, value propositions, design presentations that clearly articulate the solution value proposition and/or ROI
o Ability to foster effective working relationships with peers within and across organizational lines

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
