Contract Admin Senior Contract Specialist (P3) Job Description

Current Need: The Senior Contract Specialist role helps Contract Administration bring deep technical expertise to a senior level, to help better inform and drive strategic decision making across our teams. The ideal candidate helps us operationalize customer requirements and anticipates system constraints or limitations and engage our SAP partners to help drive change. This role requires the ability to engage with various senior level stakeholders and must be comfortable thinking outside the box.

This role will actively engage with internal teams on process improvements to drive efficiencies and improved accuracy for the Pharma business. 

Position Description

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage with various departments to resolve complex discrepancies and system issues, supporting the IC Team and Contract Admin, including MMS requests.
  • IT and Process Improvement: Prioritize and test IT remedy tickets, while evaluating and enhancing processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Leadership and Project Management: Lead and oversee multiple initiatives, from internal reengineering to cross-functional financial projects, ensuring operational excellence and financial success.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Proactively identify and address root causes of problems, implementing process changes to eliminate errors and reduce costs.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Extract and analyze data from McKesson systems for insightful reporting, aiding departmental decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with GenPact, internal stakeholders, IT, and manufacturers, focusing on contract administration matters.
  • Thought Leadership and Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader, developing new theories and methods for complex business challenges and presenting proposals to senior management.
  • Impact Anticipation and Coordination: Anticipate system change impacts and coordinate with affected parties, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Coaching and Development: Coach and guide team members, providing training to enhance their processing skills without formal management responsibilities.
  • Enterprise Coordination: Facilitate project coordination across organizational lines with an enterprise-wide perspective to support strategic goals.

Minimum Requirements

3+ years contract administration experience ● SAP/Vistex experience

Critical Skills

Strong communication skills ● Excel (Intermediate/Advanced) ● Demonstrated ability to drive results and team performance metrics ● Experience in a high-volume customer-oriented organization ● Strong issue resolution and problem-solving experience ● Advanced understanding of SAP/Vistex

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Strong prioritization and organizational skills ● Relationship building and developing a foundation of trust with internal and external customers ● Independent thinker with strong decision-making skills ● SAP/Vistex experience is required ● Strategic and critical thinking skills

Education

4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$78,000 - $130,000
