Current Need:
McKesson’s Lab Solutions team is growing! We are seeking a Laboratory Solutions Specialist to join our field sales team in managing the state of Arkansas and a portion of Memphis TN. To best serve our customers and align with our strategic goals, qualified candidates must currently reside in Arkansas. Please note: relocation is not provided, and Tennessee residents will not be considered at this time.
Position Summary:
The Laboratory Solutions Specialist (LSS) plays a crucial role in partnering with McKesson's sales team—including Diagnostic Sales Consultants, Lab Field Vice Presidents, Account Managers, Sales Leadership, and key supplier partners—to drive growth in our Lab product portfolio. The LSS identifies and develops new business opportunities for moderately to highly complex laboratory equipment, while also expanding relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term success. With an understanding of Lab distribution, the LSS team oversees the implementation of new instrumentation, ensuring successful installation and customer acceptance, and will also be responsible for driving menu penetration and promoting the growth of reagents and consumables.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for Results
Identify and address capital needs in both acute and non-acute lab settings.
Meet sales goals for capital equipment and consumables.
2. Strategic Agility and Selling Skills
Strategically position McKesson Laboratory Solutions by leveraging a strong understanding of Lab Distribution and the companies involved
Articulate the clinical, operational, and economic value of our Lab product portfolio.
3. Influence and Collaboration
Collaborate with internal teams and supplier partners to prioritize opportunities and ensure alignment with customer needs.
Provide guidance on lab setup, including regulatory considerations and product classification knowledge.
4. Organizational Skills
Maintain accurate records and reports while managing a dynamic territory.
5. Continuous Learning
Stay current on industry trends, including lab compliance standards.
6. Leadership
Serve as a go-to resource for internal and external stakeholders, offering training and support on lab-specific topics.
Minimum Requirements
4 + years of relevant experience
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
7 Year MVR ran during pre-employment and ongoing through McKesson's Auto Program
Required Basic Skills:
Must reside in Arkansas and be able to travel daily within this assigned region that includes a portion of Memphis TN
4+ years of B2B field sales experience
2+ years selling in the areas of chemistry, hematology, and immunoassay lab equipment
Basic understanding of Lab Distribution and key industry players
Proven ability to influence, train, and collaborate across teams
Additional Preferred Skills:
CLIA Waived and Non-waived products
Knowledge of the Lab product portfolio and its clinical applications
Familiarity with CPT Codes and reimbursement processes
Understanding of CLIA Waived and Non-waived product classifications
Working Conditions/Environment:
Home office or customer office performing computer-based work
Walking/Standing within customer locations
Travel within assigned territory

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:
$123,500 - $205,900Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
