McKesson is an impact-driven, Fortune 10 company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. We are known for delivering insights, products, and services that make quality care more accessible and affordable. The Critical Medication Task Force Lead will advance and evolve the Critical Care Drug Task Force (CCDTF) from a volunteer, side-of-the-desk operation into the Critical Medication Task Force. This role will focus on establishing and administering a Health System Supply Disruption & Inventory Management Customer Advisory Panel, leveraging the hospital/health system coordinator model as an early detection system, and building a cost-effective model to infuse clinical and drug use insights into various processes and internal functions. The Lead will also maintain a list of health system critical medications, provide day-to-day business direction to the Customer Distribution Experience (CDx) Communications Specialist on the Shortage Hub and pertinent drug supply related communications, engage with primary McKesson Health Systems (MHS) customers and key MHS prospects when needed, partner with internal and external stakeholders, and establish mechanisms for tracking and communicating the ongoing value created by the Task Force.

Establish and Administer Advisory Panel: Create and manage a Health System Supply Disruption & Inventory Management Customer Advisory Panel to address medication supply disruptions and solicit input and validation on processes McKesson uses to manage and address them.

Infuse Clinical and Drug Use Insights: Develop a cost-effective model to integrate clinical and drug use insights into various processes and internal functions (e.g., allocation and demand management, purchasing and inventory management, Brand Sourcing & Manufacturer Relations, Generics) while also developing and maintaining a list of health system critical medications.

Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., United States Pharmacopoeia) to establish McKesson as a thought leader in health system drug shortage prevention and mitigation, positioning MHS as the best partner for ensuring the drug needs of health system pharmaceutical distribution customers are met and optimized.
