What We Need:

POSITION: Manager, Software Development and Engineering
LOCATION: 5440 W 110th St, Suite 200, Overland Park, KS 66211
JOB DUTIES: Manages direct work efforts and results associated with the team goals and manages a team of engineers. Lead, support and grow a development project team and responsible for overall team performance and results. Analyze, design, code, debug, test and modify new software or enhancements while considering software abilities. Create strategic technical designs for Tech Debt and architectural related projects within team. Lead the process with Product and QA to define business requirements. Provide high-level architecture guidance and develop specifications to resolve software problems. Design and architect data models that can ensure the validity of the products that were released across the company. Provide data driven insights to the product team for building new projects. Designing the frameworks to support different data management processes through Databricks framework. Automate and develop REST APIs to execute the data models on a day-to-day basis. Architect the database with both structured and unstructured data, using traditional RDBMS systems or Data lakes. Direct the project team in estimation, analyzing, designing, coding, debugging, testing, and modifying software enhancements and/or new software. Translate business problems into functional work estimates at the component level for current and future projects. Manage escalation and issue resolution for internal or external clients and stakeholders. Provide input to project resourcing plan.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, as a software developer, or a related occupation.
Experience must include 2 years in the following skills:
- Leading teams and project management to support business requirements and product development;
- Handling data warehousing and data marts in cloud platforms;
- Using RDBMS to manage/process/architect structured data for analytical and business intelligence systems;
- Working on AWS platform for hosting the data frameworks, streaming services like DMS, file management;
- Working on TalenD ETL platform for building data pipelines, orchestration and monitoring; and
- Deploying strategies and working on platforms like Jenkins for the CI/CD pipelines.
Experience must include 1 year in the following skills:
- Developing data pipelines, orchestration, SQL warehouse and lakehouse architecture in Databricks platform for structured and unstructured data; and
- Implementing data pipelines and management using Python.
OFFERED WAGE: $107,182- $159,800 /year
