The Administrative Services Manager is a key contributor to the success of provider practice Medically Integrated Dispensing (MID) operations provided by the McKesson Total Care Solutions (MTCS) suite. This role oversees a range of administrative functions, including accounts receivable, pharmacy claims reconciliation, credentialing, accreditation, contracting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on process optimization, compliance, and cross-team collaboration. Subject matter expertise in prescription claims processing and financial accounts reconciliation is essential. Pharmacy credentialing, accreditation, and auditing experience is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will stay informed on industry trends and specialty pharmacy business models in an MID environment.
This position collaborates closely with McKesson MID Account Management, Account Executives, Contract Administration, Payer Specialists, and optimization teams to deliver high-quality, consistent support to provider practices.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Manage and oversee accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Analyze records, investigate irregularities, and reconcile accounts.
- Ensure accurate and efficient data entry to maintain reliable records across multiple systems.
Prescription Claims Reconciliation
- Support practice staff in overseeing the successful processing of MID claims.
- Manage and reconcile prescription claims, ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution of issues.
- Monitor claims performance metrics (daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually) and drive process improvements based on trends.
Payer Management
- Assist in developing and optimizing payer contracting strategies.
- Negotiate and complete payer contracts on behalf of the customer.
- Manage interactions and relationships with payers.
- Ensure policies align with payer requirements and support audit readiness as well as post-audit plans.
- Interface with payers and assist practices during payer audits.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work with stakeholders to facilitate effective account reconciliation.
- Serve as the primary contact for account inquiries, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Deliver outstanding customer service characterized by courtesy, commitment, and clear communication.
Operational Efficiency & Compliance
- Provide guidance on best practices for patient advocacy and plan sponsor engagement.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans for both internal and client-facing operations.
- Advise on strategies to enhance pharmacy and dispensary operations, compliance, and patient access.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for maintaining accreditation standards.
- Guide practices in utilizing MTCS contracting services effectively.
- Collaborate on long-term strategy development with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as needed to meet business requirements.
Minimum Requirement
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
Critical Skills
- Experience in pharmacy claims reconciliation, regulatory compliance, or payer processes.
- Experience in practice consulting or customer performance improvement and payer contracting.
- Strong familiarity with pharmacy systems, claims processing, and workflows.
Additional Skills
- Expertise in pharmacy claims adjudication, rejection resolution, and process improvement.
- Ability to manage customer expectations effectively and resolve issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with pharmacy benefit management and associated regulatory compliance.
- Experience negotiating and contracting with multiple payers.
- Proven ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships internally and externally.
- Knowledge of oral oncology and specialty pharmacy operations is a plus.
- Experience in provider consulting is preferred but not required.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
