The Sr. Product Manager – Supply Chain will lead indirect purchasing and demand planning functions for Masters Drug Company across the McKesson enterprise. This role is responsible for managing strategic supply chain programs, including non-performing inventory processes and the expansion of new product categories. The individual will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and enhance processes that improve visibility, forecasting, and operational efficiency. With a strong bias for action and a continuous improvement mindset, this role will play a critical part in optimizing customer experience and supporting strategic customer initiatives. This position complements the Sr. Buyer role by focusing on indirect and operational domains, while both contribute to portfolio expansion and category development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead indirect purchasing activities across C1, Northstar, and F&T programs. Manage partner relationships, ensure timely procurement, and maintain accurate purchasing forecasts.
Oversee the development and execution of non-performing inventory processes and operational partnerships to align with compliance and inventory goals.
Design and implement demand forecasting models to optimize inventory and proactively manage supply disruptions.
Drive business process redesign initiatives to improve sourcing efficiency, data transparency, and cross-functional collaboration.
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Pricing, IT, and Supply Chain teams to align demand plans with business objectives and support category expansion.
Monitor supplier performance, market trends, and risk indicators to inform purchasing decisions and ensure continuity of supply.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field or related experience.
Critical Skills
7+ years of experience in supply chain, product management, or purchasing roles.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and operate effectively in a matrixed environment, influencing without authority.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
Strategic Pharmaceutical Procurement Expertise: Proven ability to lead procurement strategies within the pharmaceutical industry, including sourcing from third-party manufacturers and navigating complex volume management challenges.
Regulatory and Market Acumen: Deep understanding of FDA regulations, DEA compliance, and evolving market dynamics that influence pharmaceutical purchasing decisions and supplier relationships.
Advanced Demand Planning & Forecasting: Demonstrated success in designing and implementing demand forecasting models that align with business objectives, mitigate supply disruptions, and optimize inventory levels across diverse product categories.
Third-Party Purchasing & Volume Management: Experience managing indirect procurement from external partners, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and balancing supply continuity with cost efficiency.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Skilled in collaborating across Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations to drive alignment between demand plans and strategic initiatives, while influencing without direct authority in a matrixed environment.
Analytical & Operational Excellence: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights, drive continuous improvement, and lead business process redesigns that enhance sourcing efficiency and transparency.

Salary: 115,500.00 - 154,000.00 - 192,500.00 USD Annual with 20% MIP
*Target 140K with 20% MIP
