The Building Service Worker provides general maintenance support for facilities in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations. This position works under close supervision and performs routine repairs, maintenance, and janitorial duties. The Building Service Worker also assists other skilled trades personnel as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs minor electrical work such as changing light bulbs or repairing fuses.
• Performs minor plumbing work such as replacing faucets or tightening leaks.
• Maintains heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems by monitoring controls, adjusting thermostats, checking filters, and performing other related tasks.
• Uses cleaning supplies to clean assigned areas.
• May operate power equipment such as blower, MHE, or scissor/boom lift.
• May assist in moving furniture or boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• May assemble and disassemble office cubicles.
• May paint walls, ceilings, and equipment using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• May install and repair flooring, baseboards, carpet pads, and doors.
• May perform landscaping duties such as trimming shrubs and tree trimming.
• Other duties as assigned.

Perform fire pump, generator, valve tests.

Minimum Requirement:

• Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license if applicable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Moderate physical effort is required, including bending, lifting, and carrying objects up to 50 lbs., walking, climbing stairs, and driving a motor vehicle.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
• Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Must have availability of reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
• Available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Background check required upon acceptance of offer.
