We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual, eager to grow within our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hotel or venue environment, bringing a strong foundation in hospitality, customer service, and catering. This role requires someone who can be in the office every day for extended hours, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and remains calm and composed amidst change.
What You'll Do
The Senior Associate Conference Services will be responsible for the day-to-day operations to plan and operate meetings and events in McKesson’s innovative, world-class facility. This key position connects internal functions, coordinates activities, communicates with facility staff, and external partners to ensure proper set-up and professionally executes onsite events at our conference center. The Conference Services Sr. Associate will also be responsible for logistics, budget, project management and reporting on all events.
What You Bring
- A good knowledge of the principles of administration as they relate to the provision of facilities, services, and equipment in a large convention/exhibition/entertainment center.
- Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office software
- Must be comfortable interacting with executive and “C-Suite” level management.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, meet deadlines, and handle difficult situations.
- Innovative with the ability to conceptualize and develop ideas and vision.
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Judgment to hold, protect and present the corporation’s reputation in highest form and regard.
- Innate flexibility and the desire to develop and do whatever it takes to get the job done in a fast- paced and energetic team.
- Ability to speak with conviction and respect to people of all ages and varying backgrounds.
- Superb work ethic and an established work history.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant event planning experience in a hotel or venue environment with vendor management and contract management/negotiations as a central responsibility
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with B2B catering order platforms (e.g. ezCater, Flex Catering, FoodStorm, or Spoonfed).
- Experience with CVENT or similar event management technology.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and transport booth equipment, up to 30 lbs.
- Work involves physical exertion and/or physical strain, including stooping, pushing, carrying, and lifting. May require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must have availability for early mornings and/or extended evenings as needed by weekly event schedule. This position is in the office Monday – Friday with some weekend requirements.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
