About the Role
Join a team that is revolutionizing pharmacy operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment! As a Pharmacy Technician at our Central Fill pharmacy located in Everett, WA, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of prescriptions for a large retail national chain. This position is pivotal to our operations, focusing on high-volume automation with no direct patient interaction. Your contributions will support our mission to innovate and improve patient care, working closely with a team committed to excellence and safety.
What You’ll Do
- Accurately fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules, ensuring precision by verifying size and strength against computer-generated screens.
- Replenish medication in automated dispensing cells, scanning barcodes and entering expiration and lot information to maintain up-to-date records.
- Prepare cold chain and specialty prescriptions, adhering to specific handling and packing requirements to ensure quality.
- Assist with the packing and shipping of prescriptions, maintaining compliance with federal and state HIPAA laws to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts and audits as assigned, contributing to inventory accuracy and assisting with root cause analysis for any discrepancies.
- Demonstrate strong problem resolution skills by recognizing and escalating issues to management as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals.
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy or similar high-volume setting.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Critical Skills
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy or similar high-volume setting.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required for consideration
- Must be within a commutable distance to Everett, WA
- Must be open to evening shift hours and Saturdays as needed to support business needs.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in using handheld scanners and computer applications for inventory management.
- Basic mathematical reasoning skills for counting and calculating prescription units.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of pharmacy standard procedures huge plus.
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment with a focus on safety and quality assurance is highly preferred.
