CoverMyMeds (CMM) is growing fast and with growth comes change. The Strategic Initiatives team is looking for a Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives to drive the intentional planning & execution of our highest priority initiatives to support our growth. In this role, you’ll execute in support of business leaders to deliver the measurable outcomes of CMM’s cross-functional priorities. Through a consultative approach, you’ll have the opportunity to influence highly visible strategic priorities that positively impact the business and our employees for years to come. In this role, you’ll also support the annual strategic planning process and work with leaders across the business to support ongoing governance of our most important work.
This work is highly collaborative and requires creative problem solving and internal consulting. You’ll work in partnership with the Strategic Initiatives team, business leaders and their teams across broader McKesson and within CMM’s business segment.
What You'll Do
The Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives will drive execution. Specific activities you will engage in to drive execution across each of these areas include:
Supports the execution and continuous improvement of the end-to-end process for Fiscal Year strategic work planning for priority cross-functional work
Supports design, execution and follow ups for key workshops
Acts as a facilitator in segment workshops, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and next steps
Supports governance processes within the business segment
Develop and deliver executive-level communications, including pre-reads, decks, and summary updates for senior leadership
Act as an internal consultant to support the resolution of business challenges and advancement of strategic priorities
Partners with any acquisition teams to support integration needs as required
Contribute to team culture through recognition, collaboration, and mentorship of others
About You:
The ideal candidate will be organized and enjoys coordinating complex work across multiple functional areas. Experience within a variety of functions (e.g. IT, HR, Finance) will be valuable in driving execution of the work. To be successful in this role, you will need to learn the business landscape, understand business requirements and stakeholder expectations, maintain an awareness of the “big picture”, and leverage creative problem solving to create alignment and influence.
Qualifications include:
4-year degree in business strategy or related field, or equivalent experience (MBA preferred)
4+ years of relevant experience; consulting experience a plus
Experience in large, complex, matrixed organizations
Experience with business transformations and / or process improvements a plus
Operate with curiosity, enthusiasm to take on new opportunities and willingness to tackle tough challenges
Demonstrate resiliency and situational adaptability
Tailor your communication style to work well with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and demonstrate emotional intelligence
Influence people through effective communications, persuade with data, build commitment and support of others
Ability to direct the work of others through influencing, by providing direction, delegating, and removing obstacles
Energized by driving project execution and keeping stakeholders aligned / on-track
Understands basic financial principles and applies them to real-world business situations
Assess and maneuver through complex processes, policies, and organization dynamics

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
