As an Operations Supervisor on our team, you’ll be helping to keep our distribution center operating smoothly. A Supervisor is involved in nearly all warehouse tasks, including training and growing our team, active problem solving, process improvement projects, maintaining equipment and ensuring internal and external compliance. Your work will help save lives.
Specifically, we need you to:
- Assist in strategizing and overseeing operational activities.
- Maintain high morale and uphold superior work standards.
- Lead, train, and manage a team effectively.
- Oversee and manage financial expenditures.
- Minimize employee turnover and regulate overtime hours.
- Ensure equipment is well-maintained and housekeeping is exemplary.

Shift Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 5 pm - 2 am
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to effectively plan, organize, and oversee warehouse activities for successful night shift operations.
- Support leadership efforts by guiding workers and Lead personnel.
- Contribute to maintaining high morale, enforcing work standards, and fostering team development.
- Participate in training initiatives and managing employee performance.
- Proactively seek and implement solutions to address root causes of issues.
- Ensure that warehouse operations are in compliance with federal, state, local and regulations as well as McKesson policies and procedures.
- Aid in managing and controlling operational expenses.
- Assist in minimizing employee turnover and optimizing overtime hours.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and vehicles and uphold housekeeping standards.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years operational warehouse experience
- 2+ years managerial experience
Critical Requirements:
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment to include proactive efforts & strategies.
- Uphold the highest standard of compliance related to internal and external requirements, to include leading by example in all respects.
- Proven experience in managing, leading, and developing staff.
- Ability to have crucial conversations to ensure a safe and harmonious work environment.
- Strong business communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound business decisions.
- Lead and promote employee engagement.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work flexible night hours, from Sunday to Thursday, with a typical start time of 6PM, and the ability to adjust shifts and work overtime as required by business needs.
- Experience with AS400 & SAP or other comparable WMS systems
Position Requirements:
- The associate should maintain a record with no more than a verbal warning for attendance.
- The associate must not have received any disciplinary action for behavior.
- The associate should have no recorded safety incidents within the past year.
- The associate is expected to uphold a strong attendance record.
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
- A 4-year degree is preferred.
- Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments is preferred.
- Proficient in interviewing, coaching, evaluating, disciplining, and record keeping.
- Experience with DEA & FDA regulations is a plus.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Access, SQL or other analytical tools with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Six Sigma or related process improvement certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Dynamic and high-energy distribution center environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including both nights and days.
- Some overtime may be required.
- Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)
- Ability to lift 20-40 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance, ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product)

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
