Title: Political Action Committee (PAC) Manager

Preferred location: Washington, DC

Other location: Dallas, TX

Position Summary

The Manager, Political Engagement is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the McKesson Employees Political Action Committee (PAC). This includes managing quarterly PAC Board meetings, executing employee fundraising campaigns, and producing PAC newsletters and reports. The position ensures PAC compliance with FEC regulations and state/federal laws, supports the government relations team in political contribution strategies, and manages PAC databases and external vendors. Reporting to the Vice President, Government Affairs, this role demands strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

PAC Management

  • Planning and executing quarterly PAC Board meetings, including preparing all materials (i.e. agenda, candidate contributions plan and profiles, political and policy landscape presentations, minutes, financial reports)
  • Developing and executing semiannual employee fundraising campaign, including developing all materials (i.e. email solicitations, executive solicitations, videos, and other collateral) and annual PAC dinner.
  • Producing quarterly PAC newsletters, annual PAC Contributions Report, and PAC website
  • Ensuring PAC compliance with all applicable FEC regulations and state/federal laws, oversee annual PAC financial audit.
  • Supporting government relations team in executing political contribution strategy
  • Managing external vendors and consultants on contribution disbursements and maintaining PAC contributor database
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience managing a federal PAC.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Election Committee (FEC) rules and processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytics, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple projects, exercise sound professional judgment, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or other related software and Internet research skills.
  • Experience with DDC database (or other PAC database software) preferred.
  • Ability to travel.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in any of various communications, government, business or healthcare disciplines required.

Travel: 20%, as needed

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$94,900 - $158,100
