Current Need
This position will execute the cash accounting related functions for a number of Joint Ventures. The essential skill requirements of this role are being an engaged member of the team, embracing change, and enjoying working in an environment where process improvements are encouraged and an impact can be made. This role supports multiple business units of McKesson, and strong communication skills will be necessary to support multiple internal and external customers. The role will be challenged to seek, propose, and drive process improvements and manage projects across its areas of responsibilities. To be successful the candidate needs a strong working knowledge of the accounting close process, cash controls, be willing to manage large volumes of data and account reconciliations and have strong technical abilities with Excel. Additionally, the applicant should possess a desire to develop his/her teammates through exhibiting leadership. Finally, a successful candidate is able to influence and persuade stakeholders throughout the organization and embraces change throughout all levels of the organization.
Position Description
- Perform daily analysis on cash transfers to both physicians and joint ventures.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for the Joint Venture business.
- Participate in review and approval of journal entries and monthly reconciliations
- Participate in “ad-hoc” analysis as directed.
- Lead change and champion all process improvements, including automation.
- Work closely with all McKesson accounting functions.
- Support of multiple internal and external customers.
- Identify opportunities for McKesson best practices and manage implementations of solutions for process improvements.
Minimum Requirements
5-7+ years full cycle accounting experience
Critical Skills
- Be a change agent, striving for excellence and efficiency throughout the department.
- Process Management – Must have a demonstrated ability to handle large, complex processes. Also, must have a mindset that is oriented to constantly drive process improvement.
- Proven ability to multi-task while meeting various deadlines.
- Proven intermediate to advance ability with Excel (Daily use of pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, etc).
- Able to maintain an engaged, positive attitude in an ever-changing environment.
- Must have experience in Blackline.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in PeopleSoft strongly preferred
- SAP experience helpful
- Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively interact with a wide variety of people
- Advanced Excel skills (daily use of vlookups, pivot tables, sumifs, if-then statements) needed
Education
4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience. McKesson experience or related experience strongly preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
CPA Preferred
Salary: 74,000.00 - 98,700.00 - 123,400.00 USD Annual with 5% MIP
(Target 90K with 5% MIP)
