Job Description:
The Data Engineer will be part of the Consumer Markets (eCommerce) Data Science & Analytics team. This role will be responsible for designing, building, implementing, and maintaining data processing pipelines to facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from diverse sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement ETL pipelines to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Develop scalable data processing solutions in the Cloud that support business analytics and enhance data accessibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Write complex SQL queries and scripts to support data analysis and reporting need
- Evaluate and recommend data tools and technologies to optimize data infrastructure
- Work with both structured and unstructured data in data lakes, databases, and data warehouses
- Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to provide actionable insights and data-driven solutions
- Maintain data integrity and ensure data quality across all data processing pipelines
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of relevant experience
Critical Skills:
- 2+ years of experience with ETL tools and data processing frameworks
- 2+ years of experience in cloud data technologies such as Azure, GCP, or DataBricks
- 2+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python
- Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, BigQuery)
- Experience working in e-commerce, retail, distribution, manufacturing, technology, or related services environment preferred
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in data processing is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and experience working within a team
Education:
4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Travel:
As needed to attend meetings/trainings/conferences

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
