Currently seeking a Pricing Manager or Sr. Financial Analyst with strong financial analytics experience to support McKesson’s Pharmaceutical Pricing division.  The ideal candidate should have proven success in working in Pricing or FP&A roles with a strong ability to influence decisions among stakeholders. 


Position Description

The Generics Pricing Manager will design and implement pricing strategies to enhance and grow business within McKesson's diverse health systems portfolio. This role involves managing and optimizing pricing structures to maximize value and competitiveness. The manager will collaborate closely with internal teams to align pricing decisions with market trends and company objectives. They will actively monitor industry shifts and develop tools, such financial models, to visualize market dynamics and opportunities. Success in this role requires excellent analytics capabilities with strong financial skills and a consultant mindset. The candidate should possess the ability to foster strong working relationships, and a knack for innovative problem-solving to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities                                                                        

  • Manage generic pharmaceutical pricing through financial analysis to maintain/grow revenue/margins; focus on targeted pricing strategies using price optimization software and analyzing market opportunities.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and tools to track overall market competitiveness for our portfolio of generic items; benchmark sell prices across customers

  • Propose, present, and engage in value added strategic initiatives

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships resulting in customer retention and stability/increase of sales to maximize share of wallet

Key Performance Metrics

  • Increase sales and profit through proactive, consistent, and optimized price management on a daily basis

  • Obtain strong customer partnerships with external customers to avoid leakage of sales to competitors

  • Ability to bring forth new pricing strategies to increase portfolio profitability and increase/maintain sales

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education
Bachelor degree in finance or related field or equivalent experience


Critical Skills

  • 7+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience

  • A strong background in pricing and/or financial modeling using MS Excel (Intermediate to Advance).

  • Proficient in completing financial analytical models upon request with minimal guidance.

  • Possess strong data analytical skills, adept at analyzing and interpreting data to provide insightful and actionable recommendations.

  • Skilled in analyzing multiple pricing factors to develop compelling pricing strategies.

  • Ability to navigate through complex issues, interpret and transform financial data into recommendations to senior leadership

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage competing multiple priorities

  • Strong PowerPoint and presentations skills

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and payer reimbursements a plus

  • Previous healthcare or Pharma experience (preferred)

  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

  • Critical thinking and problem resolution skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter: ability to initiate and manage projects with minimal supervision

  • Ability to perform and deliver quality results within a highly matrix environment

  • Comfortable using tools such as Tableau and PowerBI

  • Experience supporting sales teams is a plus

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$100,100 - $166,800
