The Strategic Marketing Team within the Commercial Strategy & Innovation Group (CSI) at McKesson is seeking a GraphicDesigner. Reporting to the Director of Digital, this role is pivotal in executing design strategies while managing multiple design projects, ensuring they are delivered with high quality, on time, and within brand guidelines. The GraphicDesigner will oversee the creation of high-impact visual content, manage freelancers, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure a cohesive brand and effective design solutions. Key attributes for this role include strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, expertise in visual concept development and presentation design, B2B strategic branding design, web & digital mediadesign, and freelancer management.
Key Responsibilities
Design Strategy & Execution that supports both CSI marketing long-range plans and day-to-day marketing project needs:
- Develop and implement comprehensive design strategies that align with business objectives.
- Facilitate day-to-day design project needs through project and freelancer management via tools including Workfront and UpWork.
- Work with stakeholders to create sharp sales enablement collateral, including presentations, brochures, and RFPs
- Work with manager to facilitate design projects outsourced through agencies of record.
- Work with manager to develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all business units and channels.
- Establish and refine design processes to ensure efficiency and consistency across projects.
- Lead the development of design concepts and oversee their execution from start to finish.
- Work with manager to assess the effectiveness of design projects using key performance indicators (KPIs) and design analytics.
Content Creation and Collaboration across CSI marketing and BUs that drive brand lift through high-impact design.
Create high-impact visual marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, posters, booth graphics, social media & web graphics, email templates, capabilities presentations, webinars, product collateral, case studies, white papers, and online ads that promote the product and company.
- Collaborate with product marketing on visual concept development that aligns with the product’s branding and marketing goals, including developing themes, styles, and visual elements that convey the product’s value proposition.
- Create sales enablement tools to ensure content tells a compelling visual story.
Collaborate on Product Design needs
- Collaborate with product marketing managers, copywriters, and other stakeholders to ensure the visual content aligns with the overall marketing strategies and product messaging/communications.
- Develop design strategies to engage target audiences and enhance user experience.
- Work with manager and the rest of the digital team to take market research, data and analytics and digest into visual design decisions.
- Align design strategies with the overall marketing strategies to deepen customer engagement.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with segment marketing and communication teams to influence strategic direction through overall design activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies to deliver cohesive design solutions.
- Act as a resource for business units, providing creative solutions to design challenges.
- Accepts and incorporates feedback from various stakeholders to refine and improve designs, which may require multiple iterations to achieve the desired outcomes.
Act as a Resource for Business Units
- Demonstrate expertise in overall design principles and best practices.
- Provide creative solutions to a range of design challenges.
- Work with limited direction and determine and develop approaches to solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends, competitive strategies, and market research to create relevant and innovative designs.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Education
4-year degree in Design, Marketing, or the equivalent relevant business experience
Critical Skills
- 4+ years in design-related activities, with a focus on project management, presentation design, web design, and freelancer management
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing projects in a matrix organization
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and PowerPoint required
- Other strongly preferred tools: Figma, Motion Array, Workfront, Ceros, InDesign
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical thinking, analytic, and problem-solving skills
- Strong digital design-focused background
- Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and proactive project management
- Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of company products and services
- Optional but helpful tools: Canva, Sitefinity, Marketo, Staffbase

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
