We are seeking a Lead Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Position Description

In this Supply Chain Management role, you’ll collaborate with other departments, such as Category Management, Operations and Finance, to partner with Strategic Suppliers to optimize the end-to-end supply chain. The goal of this role will be to create solutions that drive customer experience, enhance partnerships with manufacturers, and optimize the cost to serve. This person will influence process improvements with diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role is the “go to” Supply Chain Management person for optimizing strategic supplier partnerships, working in close collaboration with Category Management and Operations.
  • Partner with manufacturers and internal stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement projects that improve operations and mitigate unnecessary expense benefiting both manufacturer and McKesson.
  • Champion and drive innovative programs (AI and Machine Learning) with strategic suppliers via advanced analytics techniques across the Supply Chain functions
  • Analyze data and understand best-in-class practices that drive supply chain programs to provide an effective supply chain.
  • Develop performance metrics for scorecard discussions with manufacturers to compare and/or evaluate factors affecting cost to serve and customer experience.
  • Lead supplier scorecard activities within Supply Chain Management and manufacturer to drive targeted change.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of supply chain programs, and adjust progress as needed to ensure maximum results.
  • Provide monthly report to leadership on key opportunities and results.

Key focus areas include:

  • Customer Fill Rate
  • Demand Planning
  • Total supply chain inventory optimization (from supplier’s customer through end user)
  • Purchase order & Fulfillment strategy optimization (order quantities, order dates, system integration)
  • Item stocking optimization
  • Transportation optimization
  • End to end supply chain visibility

Critical Skills

  • 10+ years Supply chain industry experience and/or related field
  • 5+ years Project management and/or related experience
  • 3+ years Analytical and process improvement experience
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated creative/innovating thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to set strategy but also understand details to drive successful solutions
  • Successful track record of being customer focused and able to create visible value
  • Experience negotiating contractual terms with suppliers to resolve conflicts
  • Ability to make high level decisions and ability to analyze from “big picture” view
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Advanced Supply Chain Certification (APICS or similar) a plus
  • Six Sigma/ Lean, Operational Excellence Black Belt desired

Education

4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements

Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required.

Travel

Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic)

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$124,500 - $207,500
