The Field Account Management Intern will operate as a consultant for McKesson’s specialty, clinic class of trade customers. Viewed as a trusted business advisor, the Field Account Management Intern is responsible for the core distribution business needs of their customers. Field Account Management Interns will also partner with McKesson’s Advisory Services, Clinical Specialists, Medically Integrated Dispensing (MID), Medical Surgical, and Customer Care teams to provide additional business consultation and support to McKesson’s customers. Proactive communication through phone calls, emails, virtual meetings and in person meetings (if allowed) will all Field Account Management Interns to effectively serve and support their customers. The Field Account Management Intern will work closely with Account Executives, Strategic Account Managers, Directors of Account Management, and Vice Presidents to develop and execute on McKesson’s strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain McKesson's products, programs and services to current McKesson customers.
  • Communicate with McKesson customers to understand unique needs and build strategic plans
  • Effectively represent McKesson’s Onmark GPO contract opportunities
  • Report competitive information to Field Account Management team and leadership
  • Deliver timely pricing and economic information utilizing McKesson’s analytics tools
  • Leverage SAP, Customer Center, AMP and Salesforce to understand customer’s business trends

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled as a full-time student at the time of the internship, at the Undergraduate or Graduate level
  • Must have completed a minimum of 75 credit hours by the start of the internship
  • 18 Years of age
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required
  • Must be self-motivated - Demonstrates personal commitment and drive to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Must be able to identify individual customers’ needs and provide solutions based on those needs
  • Must be a team player and willing to work in a changing environment
  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute in a fun, demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter that brings both interpersonal skills and a superior ability to identify a problem then solve it.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$17.33 - $28.88
