Position Description
- This team member will be responsible of maintaining our reporting and analytics technical operations. This will require ensuring the timely delivery of reports and dashboards while helping to stabilize and mature our data environment to support future growth. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Data and Technical Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in analytics tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Analyze data from various sources, such as ERP systems, relational databases, flat files, and spreadsheets, to build ETL/ELT and data ingestion processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements based on analysis of data.
- Develop and maintain data using ETL/ELT/data ingestion techniques for dashboards, reports, and other visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
- Experience working with complex data sourcing across different technologies.
- Has experience with data lineage, actively identifies risks and remediates them.
- Proactively makes recommendations to advance analytics capabilities and enhance the technical environment.
- Implement solutions to address identified areas for improvement.
- Support the greater organization by leading various technical projects/migrations such as infrastructure upgrades, server upgrades, streamlining existing technology implementations, and partnering with internal business clients to provide technology-driven solutions.
- Develops, monitors, and owns technical tasks and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly.
- Works closely with IT teams and Business units to achieve required project goals.
- Collaborates with Business Intelligence Program Specialists to determine the level of effort required for new projects.
- Ensures adequate documentation of processes and work products.
Minimum Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
- Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and SQL.
- Experience with Azure SQL Server Management and SQL Agent.
- Strong SQL Skills; Familiarity with SQL Server and other database architectures (Oracle, Snowflake, Postgres).
- Experience with SQL (Stored Procedures), Python, shell, batch scripting.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity Data warehousing concepts and Experience with ETL/ELT tools like Informatica, Azure Data Factory, etc.
- Experience in Scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys etc.,
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Data quality and Data Governance concepts and SOX Controls .
- Experience leading and growing local and virtual teams.
- Technical Project Management experience.
- Familiarity with understanding application architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud technology (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to details

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
