McKesson Specialty Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager and Scrum Master to lead healthcare technology initiatives, with a focus on clinical inventory management systems and solutions. This hybrid role combines project management expertise with Scrum facilitation to deliver quality healthcare technology products while ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing clinical supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project planning, budget management, and resource allocation for clinical inventory management systems and healthcare technology solutions while facilitating agile ceremonies and managing release scope and timelines.
Manage the implementation and optimization of clinical inventory management platforms, supply chain technology solutions, and pharmaceutical distribution systems.
Drive complex healthcare technology projects, including system integrations, clinical decision support systems, inventory automation platforms, and pharmaceutical supply chain technologies from concept through deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical staff, pharmacy operations, product teams, development teams, QA, account managers, and external vendors.
Ensure all projects maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and pharmaceutical supply chain standards while maintaining audit-ready documentation.
Mentor development teams and junior scrum masters, lead Scrum of Scrums, and drive continuous improvement in agile processes.
Identify and mitigate project risks specific to clinical operations and supply chain disruptions, maintain project metrics and KPIs
Prepare progress reports for executive stakeholders and clinical leadership, facilitate cross-team coordination between clinical and technical teams
Manage enterprise-level, multi-phase healthcare technology implementations with budgets exceeding $1M and timelines spanning 12+ months
Lead organizational change initiatives for healthcare technology and inventory management system implementations
Negotiate and manage contracts with healthcare technology vendors, oversee vendor performance, and ensure contract compliance
Present complex technical concepts to C-suite executives, clinical leadership, and board members
Lead and influence team members across clinical staff, pharmacy operations, and technical teams
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Healthcare Informatics, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field
Certification
Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
Critical Skills
Minimum 7+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, preferably in healthcare technology with a focus on clinical systems and inventory management platforms
Minimum 7+ years of combined experience as Scrum Master and Project Manager leading complex healthcare technology initiatives
Proven track record managing enterprise-level, multi-phase healthcare technology implementations
Proficiency in Scrum methodologies and project management principles applied to healthcare technology environments
Advanced experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, project management tools, and clinical inventory management software platforms
Deep understanding of healthcare regulations and pharmaceutical supply chain compliance
Knowledge of pharmaceutical operations, clinical inventory optimization, and healthcare processes
Experience with healthcare technology vendors specializing in inventory management, supply chain solutions, and clinical systems
Understanding of clinical decision support systems and inventory automation platforms
Additional Skills
Experience managing multiple concurrent complex projects with competing priorities and resource constraints
Proven experience with clinical inventory management systems, supply chain optimization, pharmaceutical distribution platforms, and healthcare technologies
Demonstrated success managing clinical decision support systems, inventory automation platforms, and healthcare technology integrations
Experience in project budget development, cost control, financial reporting, and ROI analysis for healthcare technology investments
Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts with healthcare technology vendors
Extensive experience leading organizational change initiatives in healthcare environments
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to present to executives and clinical leadership
Demonstrated ability to lead team members across clinical and technical stakeholders
Advanced skills in managing competing priorities, resolving conflicts, and facilitating consensus among diverse stakeholder groups
Experience managing project crises and critical issues in healthcare environments where system downtime impacts patient care

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
