Job Summary
Join our team at McKesson as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities. Your expertise will support the maintenance of office equipment, computer systems, electrical projects, and light construction, while collaborating with outside contractors and vendors for repairs. Your mission: uphold general maintenance, troubleshoot, and manage operations for all equipment used in our facility.
Key Responsibilities/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Electrical Acumen:Accurately measure voltage and current, leveraging data to diagnose and troubleshoot circuits.
- Mechanical Expertise:Align bearings, shafts, and drives; adjust belt and chain tensions; identify and replace worn or damaged parts.
- Maintenance Scheduling:Develop comprehensive maintenance schedules tailored to device requirements.
- Network & Computer Proficiency:Analyze and replace cards and chips, troubleshoot network systems and cabling, configure and troubleshoot IBM-compatible computers.
- Troubleshooting Savvy:Diagnose cabling and I/O devices, and upload/download PLC programs for seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, embodying ICARE principles.
- Drive improvements in quality and efficiency on the production floor.
Qualifications for the Position
Education/Training
- Minimum of 1 year in facilities engineering experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
Electrical:
- Mastery in measuring voltage/current safely and effectively for circuit troubleshooting.
- Proficient with 460, 220, 120 VAC and 24 volt DC circuits, motor starting, and power distribution circuits.
- Skilled in reading electrical schematics, ladder logic, and PLC functions.
Mechanical:
- Expertise in aligning bearings, shafts, and drives; adjusting tensions; identifying and replacing worn/damaged parts.
- Develop and execute maintenance schedules, ensuring proper lubrication, oiling, and cleaning as per manuals.
- Proficient in pneumatic circuits and printer maintenance.
Computer:
- Analyze and replace cards/chips, troubleshoot ethernet network systems, and cabling.
- Competence in RS232/RS422 communications setup and analysis.

Physical Requirements:
- 100% standing, bending, lifting, and climbing.
