- The Operations Support Team (OST) Associate is responsible for providing advanced operational support to McKesson Medical Surgical Distribution Centers (DCs). As the frontline contact for the DC network, the role is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving more complex or time-sensitive issues related to computer/software issues or questions, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) issues, or network/communication issues. This person must exercise independent judgment to determine the source of a problem and the most appropriate way to resolve it. This person will work with tier 2 operations support teams, IT support, and vendor support team(s) to ensure maximum efficiency within the DCs and mitigate downtime. The OST will document issues, building a knowledge base, from start to Root Cause Analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience with various MMS DC processes; or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience with new MMS automation technologies; or equivalent experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Key Competencies:
- Exemplify I2CARE and ILEAD principals daily
- Knowledge of multiple operational systems within the McKesson Medical Surgical DC network, such as:
- E1
- IBM DC Connect (RF system)
- Order Management systems
- Knowledge of multiple Material Handling Equipment systems, such as:
- Conveyor (multiple vendors)
- Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems
- Pick to light (multiple vendors)
- Warehouse Control Software (multiple vendors)
Responsibilities:
- Answering inbound requests via phone, email, or ticket
- During an outage/issue
- Open and manage bridge-line activities, escalating issue to appropriate support team(s)
- Ongoing tracking of situation through completion
- Detailed documentation of issue(s) and resolution
- Manage vendor discussions around SLAs and make recommendations to management
- Help to create a knowledge base for handling issues with respect to the automated technologies and processes
Working conditions:
- General office environment and warehouse environments
- Travel required – dependent upon business need
- Working hours vary depending on business need
