Job Summary:
The Director of Sales for McKesson’s wholesale distribution business unit will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals who sell to independent pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities within a specified territory. This role requires strategic planning, execution, and leadership skills to drive growth in a dynamic market.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team of sales representatives in achieving sales goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and penetrate new accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment with corporate initiatives.
• Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Provide insights and recommendations on product offerings and pricing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and make strategic decisions based on insights.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and retail/hospital buying behavior is preferred but not required.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
