About the Role
Are you ready to take the lead in optimizing our distribution operations and driving excellence at McKesson? We're seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic leader to oversee inventory management, ensure quality standards, and foster strong service levels at our Suwanee, GA location.
As a pivotal player in our operations team, you'll collaborate closely with supervisors, the Director of Operations, and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and operational success. - What You’ll Do
- Manage inventory to maintain high service levels and meet quality targets, ensuring products are processed efficiently and available when needed.
- Plan and review workloads, making necessary adjustments based on previous shift reports to achieve operational targets.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors and the Director of Operations to determine manpower and equipment needs for upcoming shifts.
- Define and assign responsibilities to maximize efficiency and productivity within the team.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery across all shifts.
- Develop and mentor distribution center supervisory teams through effective coaching and training.
- Foster strong relationships with other distribution centers and departments, such as Customer Service and Transportation.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports and presentations to aid in planning and execution.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals.
- What We’re Looking For (Critical Requirements)
- Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and achieve objectives through collaborative management practices.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently, with excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and AS400.
- Excellent problem-solving and resolution skills.
- Must be flexible to support multiple shifts to meet business needs (nights/weekends)
- Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- 5+ years in leadership is highly preferred
- Experience leading large team sizes (80-100) is a plus
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is considered an asset.
