McKesson is growing, and we’re looking for motivated Inside Sales Representatives to join our Primary Care Team in Richmond, VA. If you're passionate about sales and want to make a difference in healthcare, this is your chance!

What to Expect

🏢Training Program (4 Weeks Onsite)

  • Location:Richmond, VA office

  • Monday–Thursday in-office, Friday remote

  • Training consists of systems instruction as well as shadowing with senior members of our sales team. During this time, you begin using what you've learned in a supportive and supervised setting.

Hybrid Work Model:

  • After training, you may transition to working from home part-time.

  • Expect to come into the office occasionally for team meetings, training, or collaboration.

Your Role: Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed territory sales and gross profit goals

  • Increase revenue by closing sales and identifying new business opportunities

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Make a minimum of 3+ hours of sales and cold calls daily

  • Refer customers to online ordering or customer service to maximize sales time

  • Develop account strategies and territory plans to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Collaborate with marketing to create custom programs and materials

  • Support company-wide sales initiatives with feedback and market insights

  • Continuously improve your sales skills through training and self-study

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ yearsof relevant experience

Basic Required Skills:

  • Candidate must be based in the metropolitan area of our hub city Richmond, VA.

  • 2+ years in Inside Sales, focused on growing a territory

  • 1+ years of prospecting and cold calling

  • Experience managing and growing existing accounts

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated with a passion for sales

  • Ability to influence decisions and build relationships over the phone

  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Healthcare industry experience is aplus

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Goldmine, ACT) is helpful

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Experience with cold calling, negotiation, and closing sales is a bonus

  • Background in primary care, podiatry, orthopedics, or EMS is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Large percent of time performing computer based working an office environment

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

32.06 - 53.43

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
