How You can Make an Impact

The Ontada team draws upon deep expertise in data science, data analytics, and real-world clinical data to deliver innovative data-driven strategies and insights for clients in the life sciences industry across all phases of product development and commercialization. The Product Manager will be responsible to support healthcare data initiatives by translating requirements into user stories to support overall solution design, lead scrum ceremonies and manage the backlog in Jira, and assist in process improvements for the product development lifecycle of a new product. This person will facilitate communication between stakeholders for requirements gathering and the product team for story refinement.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Consult with key stakeholders to align on business objectives and deeply understand user needs

  • Own discovery and framing scope for real world data products and/or supporting software applications

  • Break scope into deliverable feature epics and user stories in Jira; lead refinement and ensure that decisions and questions are documented and communicated across teams

  • Ability to prioritize needs and impacts while working with multiple teams on implementation for sprint and release planning

  • Work closely with testers and perform UAT and content validations

  • Create user guides and documentation for the platform

  • Collaborate with team members to collect, analyze, and evaluate information from multiple data sources including EHR, claims, mortality, etc.

  • Ensure business processes are running in accordance with agile development methodologies

  • Define and track product success metrics

  • Working autonomously with limited direct supervision and ensuring work is on track, accurate, and communicated across impacted individuals and teams

What You’ll Need

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree

Critical Skills

  • 7+ years as a Product Manager, preferably in Life Sciences, Health tech, or Pharma Industry

  • Experience with EHR data transformations required, Oncology EHR experience preferred

  • Clinical experience (RN, pharmacist etc) preferred

  • Advanced experience with JIRA, Confluence, and agile methodologies required

  • Ability to develop and run SQL or Python queries on a cloud platform, Databricks a plus

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and desire to continuously learn and develop professionally

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$132,400 - $220,600
