This Tax Senior Analyst position is within the US Income Tax Compliance team. The position will be based in Irving, TX, but can be remote.
The candidate should have a solid background in both federal and state tax compliance. Strong analytical and accounting skills will also be important in this position.
Primary responsibilities will include preparing federal and state tax returns, working with business unit accounting contacts, performing tax research, and supporting process improvement and other special projects.
This position will also support the tax compliance and reporting for partnership entities.
Position Description
Apply tax knowledge to help ensure accurate and timely filing of federal and state corporate and partnership tax returns
Utilize accounting and tax software to compile information for federal tax reporting
Assist with the preparation of state apportionment and state adjustments for state & local income/franchise tax returns
Aid in the preparation of federal and state estimated tax payments and extensions
Gather and prepare documentation to support the computation of the company’s current and deferred income tax provision
Assist with special projects, including addressing notices, assisting with tax audits, assisting with adhoc federal & state research
Minimum Requirements
3+ years relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry
Critical Skills
Proficient working with common accounting and income tax software, CorpTax preferred
Working knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance process
Familiarity with Subchapter K partnership tax concepts
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Strong accounting, analytical, research, and time management skills required
Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills required
Strong desire to collaborate and work as a team
Education
4-year degree in accounting or related field required
MBA or MST preferred
Certifications/Licensure
CPA preferred, but not required
