Job description
This is a key leadership position serving as a business partner to various Service leaders and program managers within McKesson Technology, as well as finance leaders within McKesson’s business units, to drive financial insights and transparency. The Senior Manager will lead a team of 1-2 individual contributors and oversee opex and capex forecasting and budgeting activities as well as lead value capture, realization, and reporting activities for a large portfolio of projects. To be successful in this role, the Senior Manager must develop the team’s talent and drive continuous process improvement and change management, as well as foster strong partnerships across McKesson Technology and business unit finance organizations.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and drive adherence to best practices for finance processes and reporting, including uniform standards across project portfolios
- Deliver clear, concise and insightful reporting around monthly and quarterly financial performance, as well as full year and total project life forecasts
- Review business cases, forecasts and scenario analysis for new initiatives and support new project initiation and planning
- Build relationships and closely partner with business unit finance stakeholders to communicate expected benefits and value realization within the project portfolio
- Prepare executive presentation materials for a variety of purposes including monthly and quarterly business reviews, annual budget reviews, project/program business cases and initiation
- Talent development of direct reports and other junior members of the finance team
- Assist with development of various tools, including financial models, value scorecards, and KPI reporting, among others
Qualifications and critical skills
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics or other business field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred
- 10+ years relevant experience in finance/accounting, preferably in technology finance for a large corporate entity
- Ability to effectively communicate, influence and build strong relationships with senior and executive leaders
- Ability to quickly grasp technology-related value drivers
- Strong organization and time management skills; able to successfully manage competing priorities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a desire to drive change
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills and ability to navigate through complex issues, interpret and transform financial data into recommendations to senior leadership
- Advanced Excel skills including proficiency with financial modeling
- Proficiency with PowerBI or other visualization tools preferred
- Experience with SAP and BPC
Physical Requirements
- Working from office 1-2 days a week

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
