Chief of Staff – McKesson Compile 

Location: Remote

Reports To: VP/GM McKesson Compile

Job summary:

McKesson Compile is seeking a highly strategic Chief of Staff to support the executive leadership team in driving business execution, operational alignment, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy, operations, and data commercialization within the healthcare or biopharma industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Execution

  • Drive key business initiatives, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and financial targets are met.

  • Maintain & establishoperating rhythms (e.g., business reviews, leadership meetings, KPI tracking) to drive execution and accountability.

  • Partner with Finance, operations and Compile VPs to track revenue performance, cost structures, and pricing strategies for data products and services.

  • Support change management efforts as the organization scales within the broader enterprise.

  • Lead or assistin special projects that require executive attention, often involving cross-functional teams.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Alignment

  • Act as a bridge within the executive team, helping to coordinate efforts across customer success, product, sales, marketing, technology,business development, legal, HR, and finance teams.

  • Identify and where possible remove roadblocks that hinder business execution and collaboration.

  • Work closely with legal, compliance, and privacy teams to ensure adherence to data governance and regulatory requirements.

  • Organize executive meetings and off-sites, ensuring meetings are productive and action items are followed up on.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Assist in the development of executive-level presentations and internal/external communications related to McKesson Compile and other strategic initiatives.

  • Prepare researched and analytically supported briefing materials, reports, and key decision-making documents for leadership, with a focus on clear, timely and concise presentation.

  • Act as a proxy for the executive in meetings, ensuring continuity, clarity, and follow-through on critical decisions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, or Chief of Staff roles, ideally within biopharma, healthcare data, or life sciences technology.

  • Strong understanding of data commercialization models, biopharma analytics, and/or healthcare industry dynamics.

  • Experience in business execution, cross-functional leadership, and operational efficiency within a complex enterprise environment.

  • Financial acumen, with experience tracking revenue performance, cost structures, and pricing strategies.

  • Strong written and oral communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with regulatory, legal, and compliance teams related to healthcare data governance.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.

  • MBA, advanced degree, or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Must be willing to start work early at 7 am EST to accommodate collaboration with colleagues and clients in India.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$105,200 - $175,300
