The Talent Advisor reports to the Sr Manager Talent Acquisition and is accountable to deliver the best talent with the right combination of skills and experience to drive organisational impact. The Talent Advisor acts as a talent acquisition consultant to business clients and is responsible for assisting in identifying the best candidates to fill open positions and deliver on organisational objectives. The Talent Advisor will support the talent acquisition efforts for a business units such as McKesson Technology and Private Label or other units and/or specific functions and/or geographies. The Talent Advisor acts in an individual contributor capacity and will work closely with the hiring managers and strategic partners.
Talent Advisor Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and influence staffing decisions.
- Set service level agreements and manage expectations with hiring managers.
- Facilitate the candidate assessment process and ensure accurate job descriptions.
- Review internal candidates with Talent Acquisition Strategists.
- Develop effective selection strategies and tools.
- Proactively source and identify top talent, including diverse candidates, through various channels and innovative sourcing techniques.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidate qualifications.
- Present qualified and diverse talent for current and future roles.
- Consult with hiring teams to meet business needs.
- Guide HRBPs and leaders to hire the right talent.
- Educate managers on legal and effective interviewing practices.
- Ensure a positive candidate and employee experience.
- Influence hiring process timeliness to meet SLAs.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the tracking system.
- Promote employee referral programs and gather referrals.
- Maintain strong partnerships with business units, HRBPs, and strategic partners.
Minimum Requirements
- 4-+ years recruiting experience
Critical Skills
- 4+ years of full lifecycle recruiting in a corporate multinational technology environment (some agency recruiting experience preferred.)
- Strong customer orientation and influencing skills with hiring managers
- Strong project management skills and the ability to execute fast paced and high-volume recruitment efforts
- Excellent relationship management skills-ability to establish credibility and partner with leaders to identify talent gaps, needs, risk and plans for actions
- Knowledge of employment law, corporate recruitment practices
- Knowledge of Workday an advantage
Education
- Degree in human resources, business or related field or equivalent experience
