Hiring for Multiple Shifts: (All applicants must have flexibility to work until the shift is completed and short notice call-ins) Must be able to work Monday- Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm until the new facility is launched.
Shift Details/Compensation:
- 1st Shift: Mon – Fri 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Pay Range $29.37 - $36.71/hr.
- 2nd Shift: Mon – Fri 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm. Pay Range: $29.37 - $36.71/hr. + $0.50 Shift Differential
- Weekend Shift: Fri – Mon 10:00 am – 8:30 pm. Pay Range: $29.37 - $36.71/hr. +$2.00 Shift Differential
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of various challenging electronic and electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center environment.
- Provide electrical support for all facility systems and equipment including but not limited to conveyors, A-frames, Printers, Strappers, Compressors, and other automated technologies.
- Demonstrate skills in all phases of facility maintenance including electrical troubleshooting.
- Self-starter in new system and equipment learning and training.
- Ability to lead and train other facilities assistants.
- Communicate with and maintain relationships with vendors.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of related experience
Critical Skills:
- Experience with troubleshooting control systems ranging from relay logic to microprocessor-based controls.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics is required.
- Excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical systems including power feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, AC/DC drives, PLCs, UPS systems, compressors, strappers air handling units, and CRAC units.
- At least 2 years in mechanical/HVAC, electrical, or a combination of both.
- Ability to learn quickly and address issues as they arise during normal working hours or when on call.
- Applicants must be flexible with work hours and days, including holidays and short-notice call-in.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the NEC and some light electrical construction experience is desired.
- Windows XP/Windows 7 and work order experience is preferred
- Experience with LOTO and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to lead, communicate, and motivate team members under normal and high-pressure periods due to system failures.
- Ability to communicate effectively between facilities team, vendors, operations, and IT.
- Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on facility systems.
Education:
- Associate degree, trade school certification, or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field preferred.
