Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with genetics medical directors and the precision medicine leadership team to define program goals and objectives that drive The Network forward.

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to increase genetic testing rates across a diverse community oncology network, supporting varied care delivery models in alignment with the Genetics program’s goals.

  • Take a strategic and innovative approach to lead and manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while supporting the Genetics program’s educational objectives.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on genetic testing and practice workflows, and actively contributing to the overall precision medicine program goals.

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive program success and enhance service delivery, supporting the Genetics program's vision of increasing access to genetics testing and cost-effective care.

  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, using data-driven insights to refine strategies in line with the program’s quality improvement goals.

  • Lead the creation and evolution of transformative educational strategies that align with the dynamic needs of Network practices, ensuring measurable impact and continuous improvement.

  • Organize and lead all aspects of genetics steering committee meetings to foster strategic communication and decision-making that align with overarching program goals.

  • Strategically oversee the genetics content library, ensuring resources remain current, relevant, and easily accessible to enhance network-wide knowledge.

  • Spearhead the development and refinement of clinical standards for genetic services, ensuring they consistently reflect the highest benchmarks of quality and innovation.

  • Collaborate closely with the events team to independently lead the execution of the annual education conference, fostering an atmosphere that encourages innovative knowledge sharing and professional development.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of genetic counseling, precision medicine, program/project management, and/or process improvement experience. Less years required if has relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications.

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field required.

  • Advanced (MS, CGC, PhD, PharmD, MBA) degree preferred.

Critical Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in genetics or a related field, with a focus on oncology preferred.

  • Strong organization, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Expertise in genetic testing technologies and their application in oncology.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Strong business and strategic acumen with a proven ability to design, build, and deliver cross-functional programs with demonstrated and measurable success.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of managing and executing complex projects with diverse stakeholders successfully.

  • Program Management experience highly desired.

  • Process improvement experience preferred.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$133,100 - $221,900
