Current Need:

Join the McKesson Medical Surgical Extended Care Sales Team! We are on the lookout for a dynamic Account Manager for Field Sales, specializing in Post-Acute Care (Long Term Care, Home Health, Hospice), to cover our Dallas East territory. This vibrant region includes parts of Dallas and stretches eastward beyond Interstate 75. Although this is a remote field-based position, we seek a candidate who resides within the territory to provide exceptional service to our customers. Position Description:

Patients at long-term care, skilled-nursing, rehabilitation, sub-acute care, long-term acute care, home care and hospice facilities and services have different medical supply and equipment needs to recover or remain as healthy as possible. McKesson's extensive portfolio of medical supplies and equipment offers your extended care site the industry's largest array of products and services to effectively exceed your patients’ needs, both now and as their medical conditions change. Medical supplies and equipment are available in 23 product categories, including durable medical equipment, home care supplies and oxygen equipment and supplies. 

Our Field Sales Account Managers are tasked with selling our products and services to an established group of clients, while also identifying and cultivating relationships with new and prospective customers to achieve sales and profitability targets within their designated sales territory or account. Key responsibilities include prospecting, delivering consultative sales, skillful negotiation, maintaining accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring seamless post-sale support. The ideal candidate will excel at multitasking and networking, effectively collaborating with both internal and external partners. This role also involves securing and sustaining product and service distribution through solid agreements. Additionally, you'll collaborate with experienced representatives or management when addressing more complex customer needs. If you’re ready to make an impact, we’re eager to welcome you aboard!

Primary responsibilities:

  • Create strategies to obtain new customers and market penetration within the long term care space of SNF, Hospice and Home Health Agency. 

  • Traveling within the sales region and visits with customers to ensure service levels are being met   

  • Provide customers with the resources they need to manage their business.   

  • Achieve financial goals and other goals as assigned by the business  

Minimum Requirements:

4+ years sales experience

Critical Skills:

  • 4+ years experience selling to long term care facilities, home health, hospice, DME, and/or wound care.

  • Demonstrated cold calling and prospecting skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow existing customer base.

  • Demonstrated experience consistently meeting and or overachieving sales objectives.

  • Demonstrated use of business reviews and consultative selling.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft:  Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Healthcare Distribution experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, public speaking experience preferred.

  • Organized self-starter who works well with a team.

  • Motivated to grow professionally. Physical Requirements

  • Significant amount of time performing computer and phone-based work is required.

  • Significant amount of time spent traveling via automobile.

  • Home Office environment with frequent travel (limited to no overnight travel) 

Education:

  • HS Diploma required.

  • 4-year degree in business or related field strongly preferred or equivalent experience.

Must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$119,700 - $199,500

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
