The Senior Director of Digital Transformation for Clinical Research Site Operations will spearhead the integration of digital technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our clinical research processes. This role requires a visionary leader who can align technology strategies with business objectives, fostering a culture of innovation and digital excellence within the research site operations to advance therapies for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Alignment: Collaborate with senior executives and research teams to integrate digital technologies, data analytics, and AI with clinical site operations, aligning these solutions with overarching business and research strategies.
Data and AI Vision Implementation: Develop strategy and a comprehensive vision for data and AI integration in clinical research. Identify and deploy AI-driven tools for predictive analytics, patient recruitment, and personalized medicine approaches.
Use Case Identification and ROI Demonstration:Identify potential use cases for digital transformation and AI within clinical research operations. Conduct thorough analysis to demonstrate the ROI and benefits to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
Technology and Data Architecture: Collaborate with technology delivery team for implementation of a robust data architecture that supports advanced analytics and machine learning models to optimize clinical trial processes and outcomes.
Process Optimization through AI: Utilize AI and machine learning to conduct comprehensive business process analysis, streamline operations, improve data integrity, and enhance patient experience.
Change Management and Adoption: Lead organizational change initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new technologies. Collaborate with change management team to develop and execute plans that include training, communication, and support strategies.
Risk Management and Compliance: Advise on the risks and benefits of digital technologies and AI in clinical research, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital and AI initiatives, regularly measuring and reporting on the impact of digital transformation efforts on research productivity and quality.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including technology vendors, regulatory bodies, and clinical partners, to drive collaboration and innovation.

Minimum Requirements:
15+ years of experience in clinical research or a related field, with a strong focus on digital transformation, data analytics, and AI integration.
Demonstrated experience in leading digital and AI initiatives within a clinical or healthcare setting.
Proven track record in strategic planning, project management, and change leadership.
In-depth understanding of clinical research processes, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for scalable and secure data storage and processing
Experience with ensuring interoperability between different clinical systems and platforms to facilitate seamless data exchange and collaboration
Extensive knowledge of advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
Skills:The proficiency to perform a certain task.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex challenges.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization
Proficiency in Veeva Systems, particularly Veeva Clinical Operations, for managing clinical trial documents, regulatory compliance, and data. Familiarity with Veeva CRM and other Veeva applications can also be beneficial
Proficiency in system design tools and methodologies
Proficiency in software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and experience in integrating various systems and applications to streamline clinical operations.
