Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and innovative leader to join our team as Director, Patient Support Programs. The Director, Patient Support Programs is a dynamic leader responsible for partnering with biopharmaceutical manufacturers and internal stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of patient support programs (PSP).
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Patient Support Programs, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our initiatives and help to shape the future of PSPs. Your leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills will be key to managing and inspiring a dedicated team.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead the PSP team to achieve high levels of operational execution, relationship management, and client satisfaction.
- Provide comprehensive oversight of departmental initiatives, budget management, issue tracking, and reporting.
- Elevate the PSP team to become a trusted strategic partner for manufacturers.
- Support Program Management staff in developing and executing strategies to foster client brand growth.
- Monitor projects and programs to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop management objectives and annual budget plans aligned with business needs.
- Develop and implement solutions to address deficiencies in client service or operating processes.
- Prepare and present monthly financial management reports, including revenue recognition, KPIs, and customer billing.
- Lead or assist in managing customer contracts and statements of work (SOWs).
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with business goals.
- Identify opportunities for business development and expanded services within the existing client base.
- Ensure all corporate and program-specific training complies with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in program/project management.
- Minimum of 7 years in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or life sciences industry in a clinical capacity or account leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
Key Competencies:
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, influence, and coach teams.
- Excellent oral presentation and interpersonal skills; impeccable written and spoken English; bilingual skills are an asset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to clients, demonstrating strong listening and questioning skills.
- Experience with data management, reporting, and digital healthcare tools is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to approach issues from multiple perspectives and summarize data to draw conclusions.
- Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for healthcare transformation.
- Willingness to travel across North America (approx. 10%).

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
