Program Overview

McKesson’s Intern program is 10-12 weeks long, and is designed to provide:

• A real-life working environment
• A solid foundation of experience and hopeful offer of full-time employment

Location: GTA Pharmacy 6655 Airport Rd, Mississauga, ON L4V 1V8, Canada

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Central Pharmacy Services Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and supporting patient care activities, ensuring smooth coordination of operations, and participating in various projects and initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a central pharmacy setting and contribute to the digital transformation within our business unit.

Responsibilities:

Coordination of Prescription Production, and Supplies:

• Ensure timely and accurate coordination of production of prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and supplies for delivery to pharmacies.

Projects and Initiatives:

• Take on and contribute to various projects and initiatives related to pharmacy services, and digital transformation within the business unit.
  

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Pharmacy (PharmaD), Registered Pharmacy Technician, or relevant program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with payor models and pricing strategies is an asset.

Proficiency in digital tools and a keen interest in digital transformation initiatives.
