Senior Manager, Alliance Operations Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Alliance Ops Lead to support the planning and execution of professional development conferences within our inclusion-related events portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, with  a focus on events and trade shows.

This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing conference related projects from concept development to on-site execution, ensuring seamless operations within budget and time constraints.  They will manage additional aspects including venue coordination, speaker management, and partner with inclusion relationship managers for attendee orientation, vendor management, and overall event logistics to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Execution: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of professional events and conferences, ensuring alignment with the inclusion portfolio of events.

Design + Marketing: Work with McKesson BMC to design visually compelling marketing materials across digital and print platforms using Adobe Photoshop, collaborating closely to translate partner marketing concepts into engaging visuals while maintaining brand consistency and adhering to design guidelines.

Communications: Develop internal communications in partnership with McKesson BMC to inform attendees and stakeholders on key conference updates. Work would also include smaller inclusion-related communications projects.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including executive sponsors/leaders, speakers, sponsors, and vendors, to deliver a high-quality presence and employee experience at events.

Content Development: Oversee the development of conference agendas, including identifying and securing keynote speakers, panelists, and workshop facilitators.

Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high standards of quality.

Marketing and Promotion: Work with the talent acquisition and marketing teams, as needed, to create and implement promotional strategies to maximize event attendance and engagement.

Evaluation and Reporting: Analyze event outcomes and feedback to measure success and identify areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: 7+ years of related experience in project management, with a focus on events and tradeshows and/or immersive development programs.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.  A Master’s degree is a plus.

Critical Skills:

- Working knowledge of Smartsheets, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and/or other creative software

- Strong project management and organizational skills.

- Excellent written and storytelling communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Proficiency in event management software and tools.

- Budget management and financial acumen.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$106,700 - $177,900
