CoverMyMeds is looking for a dynamic and strategic Internal Communications Manager to join our Strategic Initiatives Team and play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect, inform, and inspire our workforce. In this role, you will lead efforts to align communication strategies with business goals, fostering a culture of engagement, transparency, and collaboration across the organization.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and storyteller who can distill complex ideas into clear, impactful messages that drive action and emotion. As an Internal Communications Manager, you’ll own the strategy and execution of internal communications initiatives that enhance the employee experience, ensuring messages are timely, consistent, and aligned with our values. From advising senior leaders to developing innovative engagement strategies for a hybrid workforce, your work will help shape the voice of our organization and strengthen our culture.
Ideally, we are seeking a Columbus-based candidate with feet on the ground at our Franklinton office, with the option to work hybrid (in office / from home).

You’ll be responsible for …
Providing counsel and communications support to executives, senior leaders, and cross-functional partners to promote frequent, open communication.
Working with subject matter experts to create and execute internal communications plans to connect employees to the purpose and priorities of the business. This includes synthesizing business language and complex information into clear, relevant messages.
Supporting all aspects of strategy development and execution for employee communication (e.g. town halls, office hours, etc).
Consistently looking for ways to enhance existing processes for greater efficiency and existing communication vehicles for greater effectiveness and impact.
Creating and implementing systems of measurement and integrating results into future communications.
Develop and maintain communications best practices and guidance to be used and shared across your client groups. Implement standards, systems, and templates for content.
Provide overarching visibility/management to ensure the tone and timing of communications is appropriate. When possible, identify key performance indicators for channels and track effectiveness over time.
We’re looking for the following qualifications …
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or equivalent, and 7+ years of experience within communications, marketing, media relations (some event planning experience would be a plus)
Preferred experience in a previous or current internal communications role and/or healthcare arena, or human resources
Previous experience in change management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with thoughtful attention to detail, including deep understanding and implementation of best practices in grammar, content strategy, writing, and style
Experience leading and supporting cross-functional projects with strong relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate with partners at varying job levels
Detailed project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Positive and flexible attitude with a high degree of integrity and professionalism and ability to remain composed under pressure
High proficiency with Office365 suite (Viva Engage, Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint)

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
