Position Summary

The CoverMyMeds Marketing team is seeking a highly motivated Brand Manager for our Brand team. This role reports to the Brand Director. The Brand team is comprised of Brand Strategy, Design and External Communications, and collaborates with our Product Marketing, Research, Demand Gen, and Marketing Operations teams to deliver work up and down the funnel.
This role will be responsible for shaping and implementing the brand identity and positioning for specific products and solutions under the CoverMyMeds brand. You will focus on creating messaging at all levels of the marketing funnel, identifying and managing the development of content opportunities at the segment and brand level, and executing awareness campaigns that help drive growth.
This is a highly collaborative role, with active engagement and partnership across the marketing and sales teams, as well as agency partners. You must be customer-obsessed, understanding as much as you can about our customer segments, insights, and buyer personas, to inform brand strategy and positioning. Partnering closely with research and product marketing, you will translate marketing opportunities into creative briefs that inform and inspire the creative team. Your work will have impact across the full marketing funnel, from messaging development to content activation. You will think big and bold, but also provide clarity and focus through your work.

Customer and Industry Insights
- Become a SME on customer segments, insights and buyer personas, to inform brand strategy and positioning
- Stay up to date on industry changes and emerging trends that could impact or inform our brand
- Monitor competitive landscape and identify areas of opportunity
Segment Brand Lead
- Develop and own Brand Narratives and Messaging Playbooks for multiple product segments
- Bring messaging frameworks and value stories to life through creative briefs that guide and inspire our agency partners and internal creative in their development of creative campaigns
- Serve as the Brand POC for segment-level campaigns, ensuring that all deliverables align with messaging and brand guidelines
- Own and manage Brand components of major industry events and partnerships
- Deliver on KPIs by assessing brand perceptions and campaign metrics
- Use data to guide decision-making and improve team deliverables
Content Strategy and Execution
- Identify content opportunities that support and elevate your segments and the CoverMyMeds brand
- Manage the development and reviews of segment-level content
- Serve as the main POC for segment-level website content
Active Contributor to Team Culture
- Work with the ‘one team’ mindset, putting the team goals above individual goals
- Collaborate effectively within marketing and across the company
- Grow teammates by keeping up to date and educating others on the latest brand and marketing trends and technologies
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of
relevant experience
Critical Skills
- 4+ years of marketing/brand experience for large organizations
- 4+ years of experience managing multiple projects, leading cross functionally and influencing stakeholders
- Proven track record in developing brand value propositions and value stories
- Proven track record in designing and executing brand campaigns that drive awareness and preference
- Experience with content strategy and development
- Self-directed and able to autonomously lead and operate projects and execute independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional communication skills – interpersonal, written and visual
- The ability to collaborate across the organization – both up and down
- Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in market research
- Experience working with senior leaders
- Fluent in audience/market research
- B2B or Healthcare experience
- Experience working with sales teams
- Vendor selection and management
- Experience in navigating a large, matrixed corporate environment
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, or similar relevant degree preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years of B2B and/or B2C Marketing experience preferred
Travel:
- Travel ~10-20%

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
