We are seeking a Data Visualization Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Position Description

The Data Visualization Analyst will support the category management and product strategy teams through a combination of data visualizations, reporting, and data analysis.  The candidate needs to understand how to create and manipulate large data sets, and use various visualization tools, to meet the needs of internal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build new visualizations in Power BI to demonstrate business performance and uncover opportunities.
  • Participate in business/IT projects that will enhance the quality of the data to be utilized in the visualization tools.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose long-term solutions.
  • Develop and communicate timely, accurate, and actionable insights using modeling, visualization, and optimization.
  • Perform ad-hoc, data driven analysis.
  • Ability to generate meaningful data and visualizations to influence action.
  • Work with the product strategy team on various projects that may require ad-hoc data visualizations.
  • Use disparate data sources and solutions into new visualizations that address emerging needs.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and see projects through concept, review, edits and development.

Minimum Requirements:

5+ years of experience in data visualization

Critical Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with data visualization and business analysis
  • 5+ years of experience working with relational databases (Snowflake, Oracle)
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel including Vlookups, Pivot tables, Charts, graphs, etc.
  • Strong technical skills, with intermediate to advanced SQL knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to formulate and communicate data processes, findings and recommendations.

  • Analytical and logical thinking
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
  • Strong ability to generate meaningful data to influence action
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Education:

Bachelor's degree in analytics, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$83,400 - $139,000
