Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead stakeholder engagement
- Manage a complex cross-functional stakeholder environment while developing strong cross-functional relationships within McKesson's key business partners – e.g., Billing, Account Operations, Account Management, BU Finance
- Lead period-end AR review meetings with key stakeholders – focusing on key insights preventing conversion to cash and raising awareness of collectability risk for reserves considerations
- Earn the trust of internal partners thru exceptional execution and proficiency – and expands on it to build strong and collaborative relationships
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify, communicate and resolve issues facing customers and partners
2. Manage AR aging and drive AR to cash conversion
- Manage a complex AR environment across BUs, where there might be lack of standardized contractual terms and low maturity state across billing, invoice presentment, collections, and dispute resolution
- Initiate proactive action on high dollar invoices, preempting past due status and driving higher on-time payment
- Accelerate AR to cash conversion thru a problem-solving mindset with direct customer engagement and/or in collaboration with cross-functional partners
- Uses BU's cash target goals as the center piece guiding prioritization and resource allocation decisions
3. Reporting & analysis
- Manage a largely manual reporting environment while taking steps towards migrating it towards higher levels of automation
- Prepare period-end reports providing prior-period insights at the customer level as to a) why those balances remain unpaid (causation); b) what's next to get it resolved; c) who is on point to resolve it; and d) when we expect to have it resolved - backward looking
- Provide current-period insights into expected past due balances for the Top10 customers that will impact cash the most – and suggest potential mitigating action to pivot them from past due to cash - forward looking
- Develop portfolio-wide AR performance review (MoM and YoY) by company code in support of internal AR management assessment of performance and to inform potential mitigating action
4. Talent management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Receivable local and virtual talent to achieve departmental goals as well as their own professional goals
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of AR management experience with 3+ years of management experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proven track record of accelerating cash and maintaining a healthy AR portfolio, while successfully engaging and presenting to partners and senior leaders cross-functionally
Critical Skills
- High level of proficiency in Excel – including manipulation of large data sets and visualization in pivot table structures that facilitates presentation and understanding of key insights
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to cross functional partners and leaders
- Experience working with and monitoring a virtual team
- Strong business and financial acumen accompanied by in depth thinking skills that lead to sound business decisions
- Experience leading teams through significant change
- Excellent relationship building and communication with customer/stakeholder/business partners
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or combination of education and equivalent work experience.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
