McKesson is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in our Financial Services and Solutions (FSS) within Supplier & Customer Finance (SCF) team in Las Colinas, TX to lead accounting processes for key business areas to ensure accurate financial results.

Position Description

  • Responsible for managing the accounting and controls within the MPB Finance team. 
  • Support fee for service accounting and reporting for multiple business units. Build solid collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the accounting, financial analysis and administration of various aspects of supplier/McKesson agreements
  • Work with our business partners to ensure that contracts are accurately setup in the system for fee calculations
  • Seek opportunities and implementation for process improvement. Regularly review business processes to identify efficiencies and propose changes
  • Strong focus on internal customer service and effective communication is necessary to successfully support multiple business units served 
  • Interface with internal and external auditors, support other internal partners for analytical information, special requests, ad hoc reporting and business combination or other process implementations  
  • Responsible for various general ledger procedures, including month end close, journal entry and account reconciliation preparation, variance analysis, and internal reporting

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
5+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience

Critical Skills

  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience 
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to develop and present data analytics to provide insights and drive prudent business decisions
  • Managing large data sets - specifically with Supplier Fees/Rebates and Customer Incentives
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical, data analysis skills
  • Advanced Excel and other Microsoft Suite applications
  • Understanding of databases or other analytical tools
  • SAP or other large, high-volume transactional environment exposure.
  • Process improvement focused and ability to manage multiple projects

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • CPA highly preferred
  • Prior public accounting experience preferred
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to lead and build cross-functional relationships
  • Adaptable to a fast paced and quickly changing environment
  • Effective prioritization and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Timely and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience with Access  
  • Vistex experience preferred

Education
Accounting degree required or an MBA in finance preferred or related field or equivalent experience

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$78,400 - $130,600
