Position Description

McKesson is seeking a Program Manager to join our Generics Lead Structure Governance Team.

The Program Manager for Generics Lead Structure Governance is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing governance tools and oversight for optimal generic pricing for both customers and McKesson. The Program Manager will regularly interact and collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders on infrastructure vehicles impacting generic pricing. They will also be assigned to team projects and initiatives to help drive operational effectiveness for the Comprehensive Pricing Transformation and our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Innovation, Automation & Design 

  • Design and implement tools to improve the Lead management and assignment process (i.e., Lead Data base) offering clearly defined use case & value proposition. 

  • Investigate and assess the systematic infrastructure mechanisms (or attributes) for delivering pricing; cleanse data structure and create governance process for ongoing monitoring and maintenance. 

  • Explore how lead pricing mechanisms (or attributes) impact on other downstream pricing processes (such as proactive CRRB & rebates). Ensure no gaps in intended use as pricing data crosses processes (ex: Strategic Pricing leads, Rebate Flags, etc.) and systems (SAP, BW, CLM, AIMS, etc.). 

  • Design expanded Lead Structure Governance (ex: Lead Alias, Price Type). 

Deal Configuration Workflow

  • Incorporate Lead Structure Optimization into Deal Configuration Workflow to ensure Gx Governance has early involvement in Deal Modeling. 

  • Create a process connection from deal modeling to customer configuration with account setup and ongoing account management. 

Item Substitution Optimization

  • Explore and analyze Substitution optimization expansion opportunities. 

  • Oversee CPT enhanced substitution table maintenance and process management. 

Audit

  • Design lead audit reports and cadence. 

  • Conduct regular and adhoc holistic lead audits. 

  • Solution audit findings. 

Collaboration

  • Facilitate cross functional solutioning of pricing infrastructure and customer setup with relevant stakeholders, escalating to committee and senior leadership when appropriate. 

  • Organize and host regular Lead Structure committee meetings. 

  • Act as a liaison between with Pricing, Generic Programs, Contract Administration, Sales, and Systems teams to optimize business results, promote collaboration and accountability. 

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to implement Lead Structure best practices into new customer agreements and renewals.

  • Work with downstream teams to identify enhancement opportunities. 

Knowledge Permanence

  • Develop, disseminate, and manage Lead-related onboarding, training programs, reporting, and best practices. 

  • Strengthen Account and Gx Program Managers governance knowledge by providing comprehensive training on the governance framework and best practices during contract renewals or the initiation of new agreements. 

  • Maintain feedback loop for stakeholders to iterate and refine governance framework policies and standards. 

Minimum Requirements

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills 

  • Excellent project management and project decomposition skills (taking a large initiative and breaking into smaller, manageable components and steps). 

  • Comfortable managing through ambiguity with a visionary mindset. 

  • Analytical and strategic thinking. 

  • Problem solving, decisiveness and resolution management. 

  • Relevant experience working closely with business stakeholders to understand their business processes and needs.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication with all levels of management, and strong executive presence.  

  • Salesforce knowledge to manage governance workflows. 

  • Experience in healthcare strongly preferred.

Additional Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and experience collaborating in cross-functional teams. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels. 

  • Collaborative, customer focused and team player. 

  • High-level of initiative/self-starter. 

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Power BI, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Working knowledge of software tools including Smartsheet & SAP is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Able to travel domestically 5% of the time.

  • Hybrid work environment – Local to the Las Colinas/Irving/Dallas, TX area or Columbus, OH.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted – This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$94,500 - $157,500
