Reporting to the Senior Manager Optimization, the Optimization (Continuous Improvement) Specialist plays a critical role in driving process efficiencies and productivity improvements across CxO business.
The Specialist identifies opportunities and makes process recommendations through partnership with the business. The Specialist also fosters and develops effective relationships with BU segment leaders and functions across the supply chain.
Partners with stakeholders to identify, define, prioritize, and execute process efficiency and productivity initiatives. The Specialist needs to have a passion for improving the status quo and can act on the conveyed sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities
Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction
Clearly define project scope, objectives, benefits, plan, and key milestones
Establish a clear and well-articulated project plan
Conduct detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issues
Ability to process map current- and future-state using industry methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
Ability to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome
Superior communication skills to effectively engage and promote collaboration
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
Education
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
Critical Skills
2 - 3 years of experience driving process improvement, efficiencies, and productivity in an operational environment
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
Proven problem-solving skills, detailed oriented, good decision-making, and relationship building skills
Process mapping experience
Additional Skills
Six Sigma Black or Green belt
Healthcare industry-related experience preferred
Inquisitive nature
Strong organization and time management skills
MUST be a self-starter; ability to work mostly independently
Change-leadership experience
Working Conditions
Environment (Office) – currently in ‘Office as a Destination’ hybrid conditions

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
